Lavender is grown in many places in the US.  Here are some pics of other lavender farms we have visited as we continue our education in growing lavender.  Some of our lavender varieties will be this big when they are mature bushes.  Lavender is a perennial lasting up to 20 years. Maturity size is typically at year 3.

August 2017 – Lavender Hill  – Liberty Utah

August 2017 – Red Chair Lavender – Eagle Idaho

August 2017 – Way Ward Winds Lavender – Newberg, Oregon.  The “still” is used for harvesting the oils and hydrosol.  Hydrosol used in aroma therapy just to name a few things.

August 2017 – Sundance Lavender in Salem, Oregon.  The old red granary is full of rows of dried Grosso.  A variety which holds its fragrant smell longer than most.

October 2017 – Fragant Isle Lavender in Washington Island Wisconsin.  30000 plants.  A ferry needs to be taken to reach the island.

October 2017 – Island Lavender Door County Wisconsin carries a variety of lavender products with new plants to be added in the spring.

 

March 2018 – Southern Hills Lavender in Greer, SC.  As with our lavender still dormant waiting for the spring weather to arrive.
